Much of the success of Richmond University Medical Center can be attributed to the generosity of the community.

Philanthropic contributions are extremely important to our organization because we provide care to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. You can support Richmond University Medical Center in many ways. These gifts are tax deductible.

Kinds of Gifts

Unrestricted Gift: A donation that can be used where it is needed the most.

Restricted Gift: Donations made specifically for a particular service, department, program, or area.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts: These donations will honor or memorialize loved ones, friends, or staff members; these gifts may also mark a special occasion, such as a birthday or an anniversary.

Matching Gifts: Some employers offer matching gift programs through which they match charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your human resources department if your company has a matching gifts program and follow the instructions on how to generate the matching gift.

To donate by mail, send a check or money order, made payable to Richmond University Medical Center, to the hospital, at 355 Bard Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10310.

Other opportunities

The hospital hosts several fundraisers throughout the year. Our two major fundraisers are the Jack L. Sipp Memorial Golf Outing (in May) and the Gala (held in November). We welcome guests and sponsorships at many levels. In addition, the Auxiliary of Richmond University Medical Center hosts several fundraising opportunities throughout the year, including a ring sale, book sale, and other fairs, held in the hospital lobby. This year's golf outing was held on Monday, May 18 at the Richmond County Country Club.

This year's gala will be held on Saturday, November 7 at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Our newest fundraiser, the Tournament of Heroes, where RUMC EMS and other local teams play a baseball tournament at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, was held on Saturday, August 15.
